I just updated my “about” page here on the blog. Yup, I’m just a little behind. One paragraph that I didn’t need to change with my new business name was one that talked about the blessings I’ve found along the way in this journey. I had one of those special opportunities recently that really was unexpected and also really filled my cup!

The opportunity was to teach a group of ladies how to make my paper flowers. I always love the process of showing how to take a flat piece of paper and make it into a 3-dimensional flower. I’ve led many a class to do just this. This time it was a little different.

A large, local church was hosting a women’s ministry event with flowers as the theme. They graciously asked yours truly to do a demonstration of making flowers out of paper.

Did I mention it was a LARGE church!

Due to the large group setting, we had to have a camera on my hands and shoot that live video feed up on a huge screen. It actually worked pretty well as long as I didn’t try to actually think about it!

I also got to help their decorating committee make large flowers for the center of the tables and stage decorations. They did an amazing job of making a ton of flowers.

The ladies were gracious and kind and it turned out to be such a fun evening. One more blessing to add to my list.
